Lynn Thompson

Lynn Thompson discovered at a young age that, unlike most other people, paint flows through her veins. Since that discovery thirty years ago she has dedicated herself to a myriad of artistic pursuits.

Lynn specializes in oil paints and lovers using strong vibrant colors in her work. She also enjoys converting her paintings into greeting cards, which are sold locally. Lynn describes her work as expressive and attempts to make something beautiful by each of her artistic endeavors. Her greatest wish is to connect with you, the viewer.

She graduated with departmental honors and received a B.A. degree in art from Mercer University, Georgia. All her life was spent in the south until she came to California 15 years ago. Her midlife, cross-country move was inspired by the beautiful northern California landscape and her desire to live in the midst of something so lovely.

At present, Lynn lives in Ukiah and teaches private art lessons to persons at any skill level. She accepts commissions.

Mary Waters Monroe

Watercolorist
Mary Waters Monroe,
is always working at making her art more alive with color and looseness.  Her pieces on display this month at the Corner Gallery exemplify this effort.  Already noted for her bright watercolors many of Mary's pieces on display show how she is utilizing more water and light in her flowers, landscapes and birds.
